Will the Retail Group bring home the bacon, or will Base 1 employees prove they’re number one?

We will find out soon enough– because tomorrow, Team Customer Service (Retail Group) will face Team Integrity (Base 1) in what could be the final game for the 2014 Meatworld Basketball Tournament.
“Our players are committed; (they are) always listening to their coach and following the game plan,” says Ms. Rose Balina, an Area Manager from the Retail Group.
This will be the Retail Group’s second year for the title if they succeed. Considered the “Goliaths” of the court, this year’s team consists of Richard Biclar, Homer dela Cruz, Abha Cerdon, Eric Mendoza, Hermie Suangco, Eldrin Placido, Ronald Ereño, Frank Parnecio, Rey Belmonte, Ramil Suba, Romnick Bernardo, Ronnie Flores, Jethro De Luna and Coach Marvin Estillore.
On the other hand, theire opponents from Base 1 are considered “Davids” of the court because, lacking physical height, they have both determination and faith that the trophy belongs to them. Coach Jay-Are Camino says his players are “small but terrible” and warns Team Customer Service that “bilog ang bola,” which clearly speaks of Team Integrity’s intent to deprive their opponent of a back-to-back championship.
